West Techs Chill Water Specialist is a commercial and industrial HVAC company specializing in chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air conditioning service, industrial coating, and rental chiller solutions.

Pay

(Based on skills, experience, performance, and ongoing training participation)


Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1‑hour lunch)
  • Some on‑call responsibility for occasional emergency support
  • Occasional nights, weekends, and overtime as required
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations on commercial building automation systems in accordance with company standards
  • Troubleshoot and service BAS components, including:
    • DDC and pneumatic controls
    • Temperature and pressure sensors
    • Transducers, transmitters, and relays
    • Motor starters and related control devices
  • Assist HVAC technicians and mechanics with BAS‑related projects and service work
  • Manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment while adapting to changing priorities
  • Communicate job status, findings, and recommendations to customers and internal team members
  • Provide feedback to the Building Automation Manager regarding:
    • Job progress
    • Customer feedback
    • Training needs
    • Inventory and system requirements
  • Complete service documentation accurately and on time using company software
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company well on customer sites

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of combined trade school and/or related field experience
  • Working knowledge of commercial HVAC and building automation systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control system components
  • Comfortable working independently while coordinating with other technicians
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and shift priorities as needed
  • Proficient with basic computer applications, including:
    • Microsoft Word
    • Excel
    • Outlook
    • PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel and work overtime as required

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Niagara 4 framework
  • Familiarity or certification with BAS platforms such as:
    • Johnson Controls (JCI)
    • Honeywell
    • Vykon
    • Distech
